The Conference Board

The Conference Board China Center for Economics and Business was formed in 2005 to improve global understanding and encourage participation in China's economic growth and development.

To achieve this goal, The China Center brings together international and Chinese business, government and academic leaders to engage in dialogue on critical economic and business issues, supported by high-quality research and analysis.

China Center member companies participate in an exclusive China CEO Council for the most senior executives responsible for China strategy and operations. Members meet three times a year in China to discuss topics that are of direct interest to the success of their businesses. China Center advisors and research staff support the council.

The China Center Advisory Board is co-chaired by Governor Chen Yuan, head of the China Development Bank, and The Honorable Paul Volcker, former Chairman of the Federal Reserve. It includes the CEOs of member companies and consults with the Center on its direction and research focus.

Research projects are conducted both separately by The Conference Board and jointly with prominent organizations in China. China Center research is used by a wide range of groups, including policy makers, Chinese and multi-national businesses, and academic communities in China and elsewhere.

The research programs are conducted according to the highest standards of independence, ethics and confidentiality. The results are presented in public and private forums and to The Conference Board's members around the world.
